POSTIZ BLOCKER RESOLUTION – API Credentials Required

ISSUE:
TikTok/Instagram content ready but BLOCKED on Postiz API credentials.

STATUS: Cannot publish until credentials are configured.

What API Credentials Are Required?

Postiz requires the following credentials:

1. POSTIZ_API_KEY
– Description: API key from Postiz dashboard
– Purpose: Authenticate all API requests
– Format: Typically a long alphanumeric string

2. POSTIZ_API_URL (optional)
– Description: Postiz API endpoint
– Default: https://api.postiz.com
– Purpose: API endpoint URL (if using self-hosted or custom)

3. Social Platform Credentials (via Postiz OAuth):
– TikTok Business account connected
– Instagram Business account connected
– These are handled through Postiz dashboard OAuth flow, not API keys

Where Does Fola Get Them?

POSTIZ_API_KEY:

Step 1: Log into Postiz Dashboard
– URL: https://postiz.com or https://app.postiz.com
– Login with existing account or create one

Step 2: Navigate to API Settings
– Dashboard → Settings → API Keys
– Or: Profile → Integrations → API

Step 3: Generate/Copy API Key
– Click “Generate API Key” or copy existing key
– Store securely (only shown once)

SOCIAL PLATFORM CONNECTIONS:

TikTok Connection:
1. Postiz Dashboard → Social Accounts
2. Click “Connect TikTok”
3. Authorize via TikTok Business login
4. Grant posting permissions

Instagram Connection:
1. Postiz Dashboard → Social Accounts
2. Click “Connect Instagram”
3. Authorize via Facebook Business Manager
4. Link Instagram Business account

What’s the Setup Process?

FOR FOLA:

Option A: Configure Postiz in BudgetX Marketing Code

1. Get POSTIZ_API_KEY from Postiz dashboard
2. Add to environment variables:
   - ~/.openclaw/config.json or
   - .env file in marketing project
3. Restart OpenClaw/Marketer agent
4. Test with: node scripts/test-postiz-connection.js

Option B: Use Postiz Dashboard Directly

1. Log into Postiz dashboard
2. Upload TikTok/Instagram content manually
3. Schedule posts through UI
4. Skip API integration entirely

Option C: Alternative Publishing Channels

If Postiz remains blocked:
1. TikTok native app: Upload directly
2. Buffer API: Alternative scheduling
3. Later API: Instagram-focused scheduling
4. Hootsuite API: Multi-platform posting
